On the island of Rügen, the largest island of Germany, the Rügensche Kleinbahn GmbH & Co ran regular steam trains on a 750 mm narrow-gauge railway between Göhren and Putbus until 2007. The railway is since then taken over by the Pressnitztalbahn GmbH, and the railway is re-opended as the Rügensche Bäderbahn with partly other loks and rolling stock. In 2007 they still operated also the railway between Putbus and Lauterbach Mole, but this part seems to be closed down now. The train is popularly called "Racing Roland". I visited Rügen in July 2007. I did not have time to ride the train, but I visited the Putbus railway station and took some pictures of the trains.
